Sold with a leak in the retarder. The owner believes the MCM (Motor Control Module) fault is likely caused by a different component. The vehicle has undergone troubleshooting at a workshop, but no faults were identified. The wiring harness is in good condition; it has been thoroughly inspected by a Mercedes workshop, and no issues were found. The owner has attempted to disconnect the switch panel. The fault has disappeared, so that might be the cause. The owner intends to replace the gear selector as well, to rule that out. When the fault occurs, the engine must be stopped and restarted. The check engine light comes on. This requires diagnostic testing. Major components and valves have been replaced during an extensive troubleshooting process—a receipt for NOK 157,000 is available.
